Contoura™ Offers Improved Potential for LASIK Results

This system allows us to perform topography-guided LASIK, which is a revolutionary new method of laser refractive surgery. With the use of a Topolyzer^™, our eye surgeons can fully customize LASIK to the unique structure of each patient’s eyes.

Contoura^™ proves to be an extremely valuable tool during LASIK procedures. The technology maps the distinctive characteristics and irregularities of the cornea, which was previously not possible with traditional technology. The system takes samples from 22,000 points on the cornea, and with this detailed information, our surgeons can perform highly customized LASIK surgery.

Topography-guided LASIK using Contoura^™ has the potential to provide enhanced results following the procedure. It is typically best suited for patients who are nearsighted with or without astigmatism.
