Virginia Eye Consultants Raises Over $9,000 for the Foundation Fighting Blindness

Virginia Eye Consultants had a strong showing at the 2nd Annual Hampton Roads VisionWalk this past Sunday, April, 28, 2013, in Virginia Beach.

Team VEC raised over $9,000 and had over 100 participants! Many of our fantastic staff members and their supportive family and friends joined us for a beautiful day by the ocean, while we celebrated vision and raised money for a cure to eye diseases.

Overall, the Hampton Roads VisionWalk raised over $80,000.

Since 2006, VisionWalk has raised over $23 million to support the mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The Foundation funds leading-edge research in areas such as genetics, gene therapy, transplantation, artificial retinal implants, and pharmaceutical and nutritional therapies to find treatments and cures for devastating eye diseases.
