Program Brings Free Eye Surgery to People in Need in Hampton Roads

Our tradition of giving back to the Hampton Roads community continues!

Nominations are now open for Virginia Eye Consultants’ Looking Forward…Giving Back program.

Once again, our surgeons will provide free, life-changing cataract surgery for people in our community who are uninsured, underinsured or financially unable to pay for their surgery.

“Looking Forward…Giving Back brings free eye surgery to patients who would otherwise have no access whatsoever,” said John Sheppard, M.D., M.M.Sc., president of Virginia Eye Consultants. “This program helps deserving patients, many times the working poor without insurance, receive desperately needed services they could not otherwise afford.”

Nominate someone deserving today before nominations close.  A panel will review and select the nominees in late May and surgeries will be performed in August.
