Dr. Yarelis Martínez Rodríguez is a Puerto Rican Doctor of Optometry graduate from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo. She is currently enrolled in a Residency in Ocular Disease / Refractive and Ocular Surgery at Virginia Eye Consultants in Norfolk, Virginia. She is licensed to practice optometry in Virginia and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Her clinical interests include ocular disease, contact lenses, and primary eye care, supported by a strong foundation in nursing and patient-centered clinical training. She has been involved in professional development throughout her education and remains committed to lifelong learning in optometry. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and relaxing at the beach.
