Koosha Ramezani, MD, is an ophthalmologist currently completing an Anterior Segment, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Virginia Eye Consultants in Norfolk, Virginia. He completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York, where he developed comprehensive clinical and surgical experience in cataract surgery, corneal disease, glaucoma, retinal pathology, and ocular trauma.

Throughout his training, Dr. Ramezani has developed a particular interest in advanced cataract surgery, refractive surgery, premium intraocular lenses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and the management of complex anterior segment disorders. He is passionate about combining surgical precision with evidence-based medicine to optimize visual outcomes and improve patients’ quality of life.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ramezani enjoys running, traveling, and exploring new cities and natural landscapes. He is fluent in English and Farsi and speaks conversational German.
