It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

Remember the storm we had last Friday night here in Norfolk?  It happened just moments before Sean-Patrick and Jean were heading onto the field to take their shot at our first-ever LASIK Strike Out Contest at the Norfolk Tides, competing for their chance to win free LASIK from Virginia Eye Consultants.

This photo of the storm over Norfolk was taken from the top of Harbor Park Stadium and it really captured the intensity and darkness that engulfed the 757 that evening with some of the heaviest rain and most intense lightning we’ve ever seen.

Sean-Patrick, Jean and dozens of their friends and family members hung in there with us during an epic one and half hour rain delay.  At 10:15pm, they took to the field and gave it their all.

We were so impressed with their dedication and effort, that they both became winners in our eyes.

Over the course of one dark and stormy night, they became part of our Virginia Eye Consultants family at one of our community’s best gathering places: the Norfolk Tides at Harbor Park.

The Tides were also winners that night after the game went into the 10th inning.

It was an experience we will all long remember and we’re looking forward to following Sean-Patrick and Jean on their road to #LivingLasikLife and to sharing their experiences here on our blog.
