Dr. Senmiao Zhan is an oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Virginia Eye Consultants, specializing in upper and lower blepharoplasty and brow lift procedures, and functional procedures such as orbital reconstruction and Mohs repair.
Dr. Zhan earned her Bachelor of Science from Duke University, a Master’s degree from Boston University, and her MD from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She completed her internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Zhan pursued her American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She lives with her husband and their two adorable Bernedoodles. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, sampling new cuisine, and cultivating house plants.
