Get to Know Dr. Sardar

Nabila Sardar was born and raised in Chicago, IL and then went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in Health and Humanity at University of Southern California, masters in Global Medicine at University of Southern California followed by Medical School at Loyola and ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She has active research interests in cataract surgery and oculoplastics.

Dr. Sardar is fluent in English, Spanish and conversational in Portuguese and Farsi. She has generously given of her time and expertise as a volunteer, teaching English to students in Salvador, Brazil, organizing fundraisers, teaching classes on health and hygiene in Uganda, organizing mobile health clinics in Los Angeles and Honduras, and serving as a translator for patients.

Dr. Sardar is married to Dr. Pittner who also works at VEC. They have a daughter and two small dogs and enjoy hiking, camping, biking, cooking, traveling, boating, exploring
