The 2013 Inaugural Eye Ball – A Big Success!

This charming evening began with a cocktail hour and silent auction. There were 75 items donated for the silent auction and these items alone brought in over $12,000 in support of the foundation.  Dinner and dancing followed. During dinner, three of the 50 for 50 recipients spoke about their experience and how their lives had been changed. One of the recipients also talked about how they were able to drive safely since they had their surgery. The 50 for 50 was a celebration of Virginia Eye Consultant’s 50^th anniversary where they provided 50 no cost eye surgeries to people in need living in the Hampton Roads region. A very touching video was shown about the 50 for 50 event. One of the 50 for 50 recipients concluded with “I have been blessed by the best”.

This extraordinary social event for sight-saving efforts in the Hampton Roads Community was a huge success in raising money in support of the foundation.

The Virginia Eye Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)3 tax exempt charity dedicated to sight saving eye care for the under/non-insured residents of the Hampton Roads Region.
