Walter O. Whitley, OD is the Director of Optometric Services at Virginia Eye Consultants. Dr. Whitley received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR and completed an optometric residency in ocular disease, refractive and ocular surgery at Eye Care Associates of Nevada, which is a statewide co-management/referral center. After residency, he joined Eye Care Associates of Nevada as a medical optometrist with an emphasis in ocular disease and surgical/refractive eye care. Dr. Whitley is an adjunct assistant clinical professor for Pacific University College of Optometry. He has served as past-secretary/treasurer of the Nevada Optometric Association prior to relocating to Virginia. In addition to eye care, Dr. Whitley has a strong interest in the business aspects of health care, and he is completing his Masters in Business Administration.
