
Dr. Salib joined Virginia Eye Consultants in September, 2008. He specializes in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. Before moving to Virginia, Dr. Salib was in private practice in California, where he also served as Attending Physician in the Loma Linda University Department of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Salib received his Bachelor of Science degree from U.C.L.A., and his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed residency training at Drew University in Los Angeles and his vitreo-retinal fellowship with the Charles Retina Institute, where he was trained by world-renowned pioneer in vitreoretinal surgery, Dr. Steve Charles. During his fellowship, he also served as Clinical Instructor in the University of Tennessee Department Of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Salib is board certified and has extensive experience in clinical research. He has participated in numerous national trials for ground-breaking medications for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal diseases. He has also written about macular degeneration and various other topics in the professional literature.
Dr. Salib, along with his wife, Angie and their daughter, Emily, are very excited about starting their new life here in the Hampton Roads area.
