Nancy L. Crawford

Nancy L. Crawford is a Clinical Research Coordinator and has been with the practice since 2001 and joined the Research Department in 2003. Her primary research focus is with uveitis and cataract studies and in the past she has also worked on blepharitis studies. She is certified as an OCT operator through the University of Wisconsin Fundus Photo Reading Center and is currently studying for her coordinator’s certification.

Nancy is currently enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College working towards a degree in Applied Science with a concentration in Photography. She is a member of the Photography Club and although she enjoys many forms of photography, she hopes to one day pursue a career in medical photography. When she is not in the darkroom, she enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.


Brandy R. Chaisson

Brandy R. Chaisson joined Virginia Eye Consultants as a Clinical Research Technician in January 2007. Her primary area of focus is Glaucoma and Conjunctivitis. Brandy has 4 years of research experience in physical chemistry, microbiology, and molecular, cellular, and developmental biology.

Brandy is a native of Lafayette, LA and graduated from Dillard University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 2004. Recently, Brandy completed a clinical research professional development program at Kriger Research Center. She is a member of the International Biopharmaceutical Association, Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, National Institute of Science, Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Honor Society, and was a National Science Foundation Research Scholar. Brandy’s future plans are to receive an M.S. in Clinical Research Organization and Management and continue to progress in clinical research. In her pastime, Brandy enjoys reading, attending social events, and spending time with her family.
